Ion Electrical was established in 2009 by current Managing Director Craig O’Brien and is a market leader in electrical contracting and maintenance works.

Ion is supported by a group of talented and enthusiastic people who are dedicated to providing quality service while ensuring that all projects are completed on time and within budget. With over 200 employees Ion is capable of executing any project large or small.

Our approach to every project reflects a commitment to excellence and innovation, ultimately exceeding client expectations. We employ only fully qualified and ticketed staff with a retention rate of over 95%.

Ion Electrical is focused on our ability to develop a total electrical solution for our clients. This total solution includes environmental issues which are paramount to us and we ensure every project minimizes its impact and improves efficiencies for the long term.

Craig has extensive experience in the electrical contracting industry, 14 of those with Watters, heading up projects on many of Victoria’s largest construction sites. Craig established Ion Electrical in 2009 and has since grown it into one of Melbourne’s largest electrical contracting companies.

With 40 years in the electrical industry Rom has gained a wealth of experience in both the commercial and industrial industries. As the company construction manager Rom overseas all Projects as well as directly managing some of Ion’s larger construction projects.

Jason joined Ion Electrical in 2012 and brought with him extensive experience in the service/maintenance industry. Jason has put together a great team of service electricians dedicated to provide the highest standard of service to our clients.

Craig joined Ion Electrical in 2015 and has delivered some of Ion’s key projects. Craig has proven himself exceptional at working with the builder and other trades in overcoming any obstacle whilst maintaining client desired outcome.

Michael’s career spans over 25 years where he has worked within the electrical contractor business undertaking many different roles. Michael brings with him one of the most respected names in the electrical industry.

Janhas been a valuable member of Ion Electrical since 2011, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge in the renewable sector. Jan looks after Ion’s small projects division and also specialises in building tuning, working in conjunction with facility manager to achieve maximum building efficiency.

Blake has been with ION for two years. He comes from an electrical background, working as an electrician in the industrial installation field, only recently finishing his Electrical Engineering degree. Blake brings both practical and theoretical knowledge to ION which he uses when working with the project managers in all design and installation aspects undertaken throughout projects. With his extensive knowledge of all Electrical standards and regulations, Blake ensures all projects he works on are completed up to the regulated standards and are of the highest quality.
